Since its founding in 2008, the initiative has thrived on collaboration: The first step was to bring together people living in the neighborhood with those who drive commerce and economic growth here, on an equal footing. Tenants and landlords, laypeople and specialists, young and old—all come together in the association to keep the quality of life and culture in Arrenberg vibrant.
The joy of taking an active role in urban development involves numerous tasks that members cannot handle alone. The association works through both long-standing and new partnerships, engages in discussions with partners about future issues, and constantly strives to secure effective project funding. “Der Aufbruch am Arrenberg” receives no structural support from the city or the state. For every new initiative, we seek out both new and established contacts with institutions that can help make our goals a reality.
Local businesses and companies from the neighborhood and the region are very important to us, and we’d like to feature them on Arrenberg.app. Whether as sponsors of specific projects or as supporters of the association: we need you now more than ever to preserve the neighborhood’s unique character through dedication and plenty of volunteer work.
