Saint Martin

A lovely tradition. And yes, it’s important to keep traditions alive too.

Every year, in beautiful fall weather, many children from the local daycare centers and the Königshöher Weg elementary school, along with their parents and local residents, come to our St. Martin’s procession.

By the light of the lanterns lining the parade route and the children’s many lanterns, the procession follows St. Martin riding on his horse. Accompanied by a brass band, the participants’ singing echoes through the neighborhood streets.

We would like to thank all participants who contribute to the financial success of the parade by purchasing Weckmänner, punch, and hot dogs. Special thanks, of course, go to all the volunteers whose dedication helped make the procession and the subsequent event at Gutenbergplatz a success.

We’re already looking forward to the next St. Martin’s procession!
