The Arrenberg Artists' Group

The first joint exhibition took place in 2013, when Procar Automobile GmbH on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße offered to open its showroom to Arrenberg artists as part of the Arrenberg neighborhood festival. Three times in a row, large-scale exhibitions were held there, each of which was festively opened on the evening before the upcoming neighborhood festival.

Since then, approximately ten joint exhibitions have been organized in various suitable venues, such as the film room of the former Impuls Action Center on Viehhofstraße (Dürdoth Car Rental) and the Sparkasse branch on Islandufer. All of the group’s upcoming activities are discussed together at regular meetings.

After an extensive search, the group found its own space in the neighborhood in 2019: a large storefront at the corner of Senefelderstr. and Simonsstr. 27, which perfectly meets the group’s vision. The Eckart Art Space is open to a wide variety of artistic activities in the Arrenberg neighborhood.

In 2020, all members of the group initially exhibited one after another at the Eckart; a group exhibition takes place annually as part of WOGA—Wuppertal’s Open Galleries and Studios.
