What sort of website is this?
The Aufbruch am Arrenberg e.V. website is no ordinary website. It features app-style functions and facilitates digital interaction within the neighbourhood.
Once you’ve registered, you can create posts on this page, like other posts and leave comments. And the unique thing about it is that all the latest news is displayed on the so-called Bitfaß columns – these are street displays set up at prominent locations in our neighbourhood. There, anyone can find out what’s currently happening in the neighbourhood.
If you’d like to know more about how this works on your mobile phone, ask the friendly team at PIKSL, who’ll be happy to help you free of charge. You’ll find them at our club premises at Fröbelstraße 1a.

Maximilian Weber is writing a bachelor’s thesis in geography at the University of Wuppertal. The topic of the thesis is: “Subjective Perception and Quality of Urban Green Spaces in the Context of Neighborhood-Based Sustainability Initiatives—A Geographical Comparison of Two Residential Neighborhoods in Wuppertal.” To this end, he would like to survey residents of the Arrenberg and Südstadt neighborhoods regarding their perceptions of local green spaces.

Arrenberg-Süd is one of six street areas in Arrenberg that are serviced by AWG on different dates. It includes Arrenberger Straße, Arrenbergsche Höfe, Masurenstraße, Carl-Reimers-Straße, Güterstraße, Königshöher Weg, Quellenstraße, Schwarzer Weg, and Viehhofstraße.
The next pickup in the neighborhood will take place on September 2 in the Simonsstraße area and will be announced here.

24.06.2026 12:56Habe mich beteiligt. Geht schnell und ist (nicht unmittelbar, aber über die Erhebung) sinnvoll. Und es zeigt, was das Fach Geologie mit Menschen, Quartieren, Stadtentwicklung zu tun hat. Kürzlich waren 20 Geologiestudierende aus Bonn hier im Tal und selbstverständlich zu einem geführten Rundgang am Arrenberg. Das war für beide Seiten interessant!
